Ah, the many different flavors of European racisms! I have to admit my least favorite (ha!) was the Danish variety, because so few Danes admitted it existed and because I had more than one Dane tell me how lucky I must feel to be in their homeland, because, after all, "the US is such a racist country." The gaslighting was intense.
